The wines of Schist Hills are made by local winemakers Kevin Clark and Fred Reinds, who have extensive experience in crafting wines in Central Otago, New Zealand and Burgundy, France. Kevin and Fred's motto is that fine wines are grown in the vineyard and their task is to produce a wine that is true to the grape, the terroir and the season.
They employ traditional wine making techiques that always ensures optimum wines are produced with minimum impact upon the environment.
Wines are a reflection of the hard work that goes into growing the grapes each season.
Grapes are influenced by the soils they are grown in, the weather of the season and the love instilled by the people working in the vineyard.
Every season the grapes end up with a personality of their own, which should be expressed in the wines made from them.
